5 Ways to Cause a Car Accident

There are many things you can control in your life. Not being a distracted driver is one of them.

When driving, it’s up to you to make sure that nothing interferes with your ability to see the road, react to situations, or drive your car properly.

Ask yourself if you’ve allowed any of these “distractions” to happen, if so, be aware and avoid them in the future.

1- Driving while eating and drinking. Have you ever looked away from the road to grab some food or a drink? Taking your eyes off the road for any amount of time is dangerous.

2 – Talking on your cell phone while driving. Have you ever noticed someone not paying attention to driving while talking on their cell phone? It happens all the time, avoid those drivers and don’t do it yourself! If needed, pull over to have a conversation.

3 – Driving while changing music. Taking your eyes off the road to change a CD or radio station causes a potentially dangerous situation. Wait until you’re stopped to change the music.

4 – Tired, sleepy drivers are a hazard. Driving while tired or drowsy is extremely dangerous and you can easily drive off the road or not be alert enough to react to a situation.

5 – Talking to passengers. Have you ever found yourself turning your head while driving to talk to someone in the car. Not a good practice, keep your eyes on the road while talking.
